While the wide shaded terrace offers respite from the heat of the day, the nearby pool is a clear temptation. Shaded porches and a dining terrace all look onto the large pool at the front of the house. A new tennis court stands ready for players to take their positions. An master double bedroom has mountain range views just out of the French windows.

This Provencal property has a wonderful flow, with a wide hallway leading through to a spacious living area with an open fireplace, high beamed ceilings and large sliding patio doors that make the most of the stunning views. Two steps up from the sitting room, the dining area, conveniently adjacent to a well-equipped kitchen, has both a staircase leading up to a Mezzanine level with a sofa bed as well as patio doors leading onto a shaded terrace area with another dining table and handy BBQ. From the entryway a corridor leads along to a master double bedroom with an en suite bathroom, plenty of storage and stunning views of the gardens. Two additional bedrooms, a double and a twin, and a good-sized shower room are also on this level. A staircase leads down to a private two-bedroomed independent suite with a shared shower room. While both bedrooms have double beds, the larger of the two also has a set of bunk beds. There is direct access to the exterior garden area from the suite, which makes it ideal when a large number of people is made up of more than one family grouping.

The large swimming pool is to the front of the property with steps into the shallow end then a gradual slope down to a depth of 2m. The pool is surrounded by paved surfaces and plenty of loungers to soak up the Provencal sunshine and those tremendous far-reaching views. There is an abundance of outdoor areas where one can sit and relax, some shaded, others in full sun. The landscape is varied and offers large flat lawn areas and unspoiled wooded terrain to the rear of the property. If those are not enough to absorb the energy of active children or curious explorers, the brand new tennis court has a training wall and rackets and tennis balls on hand.

Around Bellevue

The Massif des Maures, the stunning mountain range that lies on the horizon, is an immediate reminder that the Var is known both for its natural beauty and its varied sporting destinations. Hiking or biking in neighboring hills, exploring the largest gorge in Europe, the spectacular Gorge de Verdon, sailing on the Lac du St. Croix or diving off the Iles de Porquerolles, the 11th best diving spot in the world - the opportunities are endless. When muscles and energy need recharging, the options are just as varied. There are charming market town squares, like nearby Vidauban, tree-lined and with a central fountain, that provide sidewalk cafes and stalls featuring local produce and artisan wares. There are places of quiet reflection, such as the beautiful Cistercian Abbey at Thoronet or the hilltop villages of Tourtour and La Garde Freinet, which wear their centuries with grace, or wineries and spa resorts such as the Chateau de Berne. There are beaches where one can find an umbrella to stretch out under, the nearest, perhaps, at Les Issambres. And there are cocktails waiting in the stylish bars and restaurants in the Riviera towns of Sainte Maxime and St. Tropez.

Shoppers may be drawn to the pottery of Cotignac or the scents of Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, or even stock up on this area's beverage of choice - Rose, whose delicate blush comes in many shades. The Rose will happily be served on the terraces of Bellevue, for while daytrips away may be the shine of future memories, hours spent on the patios, poolside sunbeds and the tennis court of Bellevue will enhance a holiday well spent.
